Good food month is something I always look forward to in Sydney. With different events on all around Sydney, all with delicious food and a great atmosphere. But one of my favourite things to do each year is the ever-popular Sydney Night Noodle Markets.
What Are The Sydney Night Noodle Markets?
It reminds me of all the hawker stalls and food markets in Asia, but on an event scale and in Australia. Set in Hyde Park, the open air is a nice touch, just as our weather starts to warm up again. Essentially, it’s lots of different Asian food stalls from restaurants around Sydney and Australia, so it’s a great way to sample food without having to go to 20 different restaurants.
Our Tips
Going to the Sydney night noodle markets has stayed on our calendar since it began. It’s something we love to do every year. But, if you don’t plan right, it can become a little tedious. So here are our tips…
#1 – If you don’t want to line up for ages, get there on open.
#2 – If you get there later, bring a towel or picnic rug to sit on so the lack of tables free doesn’t become an issue.
#3 – If you’re a Citibank customer, then you have a VIP area where you can order food and get a table. Sometimes there’s a wait depending on the time, but it’s a great option if you don’t want to wait in lines. Only a select few stalls will be available in this area.
#4 – Although there are ATM’s available and at some stalls you can pay with card, definitely get money out beforehand. ATM lines can get crazy.
#5 – It’s fun walking around to all the different markets, but if you’re going as a family it might be more useful to have a look at the menu and map online to decide first.
