Planning a trip is meant to be fun, but let’s face it, it can get pretty overwhelming. It’s so easy to spend lots of time researching, come across great recommendations, and by the time you go on your trip those great tips are just a distant memory or lost in a pile of mess. Solution? Printable travel notes!
What Are Printable Travel Notes?
Your printable travel notes are your new place to put all those amazing recommendations you come across in you trip planning and researching phase. And when you arrive at your destination, you have one simple page of the best recommendations you came across to make your trip memorable and stress-free!
We put together a one-page PDF for your Printable Travel Notes. It’s where you can write down your favourite recommendations for:
- Neighbourhoods & Areas To Visit
- Things To See & Do
- Places To Eat/Restaurants
- Dishes To Eat
- Shops
- And anything else you come across that interests you!
I find if you at least have a good idea of the above, you can set yourself up to have the best holiday. You don’t have to book them in (unless there’s a fabulous restaurant on your list) or even do them all. Just having that little golden list means you don’t need to think and plan on holidays, and you have your favourite recommendations close by. Only having a few recommendations of each allows you to have time to get lost in the streets and find your own memorable spots… and then you can add those to the list too!

My wife and I are traveling to Bali in November for the first time. We are both nervous and excited at the same time. I was wondering about a couple of things, firstly money exchange, what do you recommend here and the second question is hiring a driver, do you have any recommendations? Your blog has been wonderful in settling our nerves, thanks
Andy
Hi Andy, thanks so much :)
On our last trip to Bali we used Bali Made Tours for our private driver and they were great.
As for money, we usually take $35 USD each for the Visa On Arrival (but I’m not sure where you are coming from, so I’m not sure about your visa requirements, this is what we pay from Australia), a small amount of local currency to get us through the first couple of days (or we just get money out straight away from the ATM’s), and then we just use our credit card to pay for things as we go (for frequent flyer points) and a Citibank debit card to get cash out. If you are from Australia, the Citibank debit card is great as it doesn’t charge you any ATM or transaction fees.
We find this works best for us and is pretty simple. If you do use a credit card when you travel, be sure to look for one that has low fees and great conversion to frequent flyer points.
Hope this helps, just want to make sure you have seen AlmostLanding-Bali.com, as this is our blog on Bali, but I assume this is the site you are talking about.
Have a great time in Bali :)
