Recipes Of The World: Loukoumades

Loukoumades Recipe

Rhodes was our first stop in Greece, and it did not disappoint. It was here that we first discovered the Greek sweet… Loukoumades. Basically it’s kind of like a greek doughnut, usually topped with honey, cinnamon and walnuts, but also has a chocolate topping alternative. Walking through a little back street in Rhodes, a delicious smell was coming from this cute corner shop… and there began my obsession with loukoumades. After I tried them, I went back as many times as I could, just in case they didn’t exist anywhere else in Greece :) Perfect way to end a meal or as an afternoon snack! Loukoumades Shop
