Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, is such a beautiful place to visit. We loved our 6 weeks we spent there, and really became familiar with different areas and places to eat in Zagreb. Zagreb can often be overlooked for places like Dubrovnik and the Dalmatian Islands, but Zagreb really has so much to offer and should definitely be on your Croatia Itinerary. So where to stay in Zagreb? Here are our favourite picks and Zagreb accommodation guide…

Where To Stay In Zagreb?
The best area to stay in Zagreb is in the city centre, with most accommodation being in the lower town. The area near Jelacic Square is the busiest area, so staying near here is a good option if you want to be right in the busy part of the city centre. Then as you move south towards the Glavni Kolodvor train station, this area is also central and a good area to stay (but preferably keep north of the train station). Basically anywhere near the city centre is a great area to stay, but I wouldn’t stay too far from the city centre. The Upper Town is a beautiful area but doesn’t have a lot of accommodation options, but anywhere near here is also good. So the best neighborhoods in Zagreb are the Upper Town (Gornji Grad), Lower Town (Donji Grad) and Kaptol.
